Bailey joined the club on a one-month loan deal from Vanarama National League North side Harrogate Town in December. This was extended by another month in January 2018.
He made his debut as a second half substitute against Ossett Town, coming on in midfield to see the game out for 3 points.
Bailey spent much of last season with Frickley in the Evo-Stik Premier Division, before heading to the CNG Stadium in August 2017. He also brings experience of playing at this level, after returning to Frickey to spend a month on loan at the start of this season, and has featured for the Harrogate Town Under-21s side.
Boro boss Steve Kittrick was pleased to add the defender to his ranks. He said: "Bailey is a strong defender who I have looked at signing before. He'll give us some cover over the festive period when we will be playing quite a few games in a short space of time."
