Walshaw Departs Boro For Buxton

Scarborough Athletic boss Darren Kelly has confirmed that top scorer James Walshaw has departed the club for Northern Premier League rivals Buxton.

He had initially pledged his future to Boro, but Kelly has revealed that he has opted to leave for personal reasons.

The Boro boss said: "I got a message from Wally this afternoon and he told me that he was leaving for personal reasons.

Scarborough Athletic wish to announce that Striker James Walshaw has moved on due to personal circumstances.

Walshaw, who joined the seadogs back in November 2017 from Farsley Celtic, finished as Northern Premier League top-scorer for two consecutive seasons with Boro.
The veteran frontman moves to a fellow Northern Premier League club, Buxton having won promotion with Boro back in 2017-18, whilst coming runners-up and winning the North Riding Senior Cup in 17-18 and 18-19 respectively.
Wally leaves with our best wishes and we thank him for his significant efforts in a Boro shirt.
