Boro tackle recently promoted Morpeth on Boxing Day, with a bumper crowd expected for the festive feast of football.
Boro will be looking to put Saturday behind and head into the New Year back climbing the table. Morpeth have won three of their three fixtures this month, seeing off Grantham, Nantwich and Warrington in league action.
Morpeth currently sit in 10th position, with Boro in 13th, however Morpeth have seven games in hand on the seadogs. Morpeth, formed in 1894, have undergone a surge up the football pyramid over the past eight years after survival in the Northern League was questionable in the early part of the decade. Former Boro player, Keith Graydon is a link between the two clubs.
Boro will be assessing a couple of doubts prior to Boxing Day with Harry Coates available for selection after a long lay-off. Wayne Brooksby is also available. Chris Dawson is doubtful with a strain.
The game kicks off at 3pm, with turnstiles opening at 1.30pm. The clubhouse will be open from 1pm.
