Buxton Preview

Boro travel to Derbyshire in the penultimate fixture of 2019 to face Buxton on Saturday 21st December.
Boro will be assessing a number of knocks sustained over the past couple of weeks before the game at training on Thursday evening. Boro will be hoping to spread Christmas cheer to seadogs far and wide starting Saturday in Derbyshire.
Buxton, who play on a 3G pitch, have enjoyed a less than convincing start to the 2019/20 season, sitting in 19th place with 13 points from 19 games. Boro however sit in 11th with 27 points from 21 games played.
Buxton, who have recently parted with their manager, have drawn with Nantwich and high flyers Lancaster City so far this month, hoping to turn their season around. Buxton have not won a game since 12th November, when beating Ilkeston Town in the League Cup. Buxton last won a league game back on 19th October, beating Witton Albion 2-0 at home.
New Buxton boss, Gary Hayward has been ringing the changes this week, bringing in three players and letting one out of the door whilst the queues for the treatment table filter down. Buxton are expected to feature the dangerous Liam Hardy. Boro drew with Buxton on the opening day of the 2019/20 season, which was the official opening of the new Adverset Stand.
