Boro to host Hospice Day

Scarborough Athletic FC is proud to announce its Easter fixture at home to Grantham Town on Saturday April 20 as Saint Catherine's Hospice Day.

The club has a long association with Saint Catherine’s, which through its work has touched so many people’s lives, including the former Chairmen of the club Richard Adamson and Dave Holland, who spent their final days in the hospice.

For the last ten years the club has run the Goal-den Pledge scheme, sponsored by Hanson Cooling, in which supporters have pledged money for every goal that Boro score in the season, which has raised thousands of pounds for Saint Catherine's.

The team will play in special one-off purple shirts for Saint Catherine’s, which can be sponsored for a minimum donation of £100.

Businesses and individual supporters will be able to bid for the unique shirts with the highest bidders choosing the player's shirt they would like to sponsor.

They will have their company name printed on the front of their chosen player's shirt and after the game the shirts will be signed and presented to the successful bidders.

Businesses and fans who wish to sponsor one of the seventeen shirts on offer should email their bid to the club's Commercial Director Andy Troughton, at [email protected] The closing date for bids is February 28th.

The club would like to thank Everyone Active who are helping to run the day and have kindly forfeited their shirt sponsor for the game.
