McNaughton signs for Hometown Club

Young Striker Flynn McNaughton has signed for his hometown club, Scarborough Athletic.

McNaughton, 18, was recently with rivals York City having earned a full time professional contract in May 2018 after progressing through their youth system. However, after suffering a long term injury, York decided to release the young forward who is now getting back to full fitness. McNaughton was top scorer for both York City Reserves and Under 18's in 2017/18 before making the step up to the first team.

Flynn played for the Scarborough Athletic youth setup prior to signing for York City and has now returned to his hometown club. He follows his father, Mike McNaughton in playing in Scarborough colours.

Flynn will be available for selection for Saturday's home fixture with Warrington Town.
