Successful Toy Appeal

Last night saw the the annual Celebration Service at The Salvation Army Citadel on Alma Parade in Scarborough. Scarborough Athletic fans had been asked to donate toys and gifts over recent weeks, which sees The Salvation Army arrange for them to be distributed to local children.

The service was attended by Boro Chairman, Trevor Bull, who said "Last night I had the privilege along with our Community Director, Steve Machen, to attend the annual Rotary Toy Service at the Salvation Army Citadel. We took along the toys generously donated by our supporters as did other businesses in the town. Those attending also took toys and, as you can see from the photo, it was an amazing sight to witness the generosity of our town.

In total over 6,000 toys were collected, to be distributed in the area and will help local children have a memorable Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who donated, this is what a community football club does, care about its community".
