Match Preview - Scarborough Athletic v North Ferriby United
Scarborough Athletic will look to continue their good form tonight against lowly North Ferriby United.
Boro moved up to 8th in the table with Saturday's win over Hyde United, one point behind second place, but four behind early pace setters Gainsborough Trinity. Two goals from Michael Coulson and one from James Walshaw sent Boro to a nervy 3-2 win, despite leading 3-0 going into the final 15 minutes.
The Villagers, who were in the National League just two seasons ago, have not started the season well, currently sitting third from bottom with just one win in their opening five league games.
Former Boro midfielder and Assistant Manager Chris Bolder is the manager of North Ferriby and he has ex-Boro full back Paul Robson as his assistant. They also have several former Boro players in their squad with Jamie Forrester, Jordan Harrison and Joe Lamplough. In Boro's ranks Wayne Brooksby and Matty Dixon have both plied their trade for the Villagers.
Bolder was less than impressed with his sides performance during the 5-0 defeat at the hands of Warrington Town on Saturday and claimed his side will aim to bounce back tonight. The one game that North Ferriby have won this campaign was a 3-0 home victory over South Shields on Bank Holiday Monday. A result Boro boss Steve Kittrick is mindful of, "You only have to rewind the clock back a week to see that North Ferriby are a very capable side. There are no easy games at this level and both sides will be in for a tough match. I'm sure Chris will be looking for a reaction after Saturday's result".
Boro will be without Jimmy Beadle after he left the club this week in search of first team football. Matty Dixon (hamstring) and Jack Johnson (shoulder) remain out through injury.
