University Supports New Scarborough Athletic FC U19
Scarborough Athletic FC are pleased to confirm details of the Coventry University partnership which will continue in 2018/19. As well as continuing the sponsorship of the brand new away first team shirt, the University based next door to the Flamingo Land Stadium will also sponsor the home shirts of the new Under 19 Scarborough Athletic side during 2018/19.
The arrangement with Coventry University Scarborough will see the new Under 19 side play in the brand new yellow and black kit for home fixtures on Monday night’s at the Flamingo Land Stadium. The deal is mutually benefitting, keeping with Coventry University’s objectives of developing young people by creating opportunities whilst also supporting the new team under the leadership of Scarborough legends Ryan Blott and Denny Ingram whom will manage the new side.
Steven Knowles, Marketing Manager at CU Scarborough explains, “As an organisation we are committed to creating opportunities for the young people in our region. The addition of an under 19 team to the club allows for the development of the juniors, keeping talent in the town as well as providing back-up for the first team. We have a close working relationship with the club and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to show our continued commitment to Scarborough Athletic FC. Facilitating this expansion of the squad is important for the town and we feel privileged to be part of it.”
The University continues to support the club and town providing an office for club officials and offering valuable networking opportunities whilst showing a genuine interest in the recent success of the club.
Club Director, Nick Finch added, “We work closely with CU Scarborough and would like to thank them for continuing to support the club. The backing we get from our partners and sponsors is vital for our continued success as we move to Evo-Stik Premier Division for hopefully another successful season.”
The brand new kit was launched at the Kit Launch on Saturday 23rd June and is available for sale online via the club’s online shop or at the Boro Hub until the seadogs get pre-season under way.« Back to news
