Nathan Valentine will have his name at the heart of this season’s Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday.
The FA has placed the names of 137 goalscorers from this season’s competition on the Nike Ordem V, Cup Final matchball to be used at the 137th edition of the showpiece fixture between Chelsea and Manchester United at Wembley.
The 24-year-old, who will appear on the matchball alongside Alexis Sánchez and Willian from the two finalists, has described his inclusion as "a really unexpected surprise but fantastic to get the recognition from The FA and be a part of the 137 names chosen."
The Ball For All celebrates players from Step 6 of the National League system through to the Premier League, who all share the accolade of being a goalscorer in the world’s oldest domestic cup competition.
The names included represent goalscorers from every round, beginning at the Extra Preliminary Round through to the Semi Finals and also include a selection of the season’s most memorable and impactful strikes.
Representing Boro is midfielder Nathan Valentine, who bagged the only goal in the 1-0 win over Evo-Stik Premier side Workington in the second qualifying round of the competition.
