Tom White loan spell extended
Scarborough Athletic are pleased to announce Tom White has extended his loan spell at the club to the end of the season.
The Gateshead midfielder has slotted straight into the Boro setup since his arrival in early January, making his debut as an early substitute against Droylsden and going on to start the games against Kendal Town and Pickering Town, before he missed out on the game against Trafford last weekend through injury.
Following talks, the 20-year-old will now stay with Steve Kittrick’s side for the final three months of the season.
On his extension, White said: "I'm really pleased to get the extension, I feel like I've started something at Scarborough and now I want to go on and help the club get promotion.
"Everyone's made me feel welcome since joining and we're on a great run of form at the moment, so there's a buzz around the club and the dressing room.
"I feel like my match fitness is nearly there after a run of regular games, so I hope I can kick on now and hopefully get a few goals aswell."
Despite picking up a knock that ruled him out of the Trafford game last weekend, the midfielder is confident that he will be fit to face Mossley on Saturday.
"I got a bad knock in training at Gateshead before the Trafford game and tried everything to make it better, but in the end I didn't want to risk it. I've had some treatment now and did a bit of running on Tuesday, so I should be ok for the weekend."
