Match preview: Boro head to Trafford

Scarborough Athletic are on the road to start February with an away trip to Trafford.

Boro travel across the Pennines on the back of the 3-0 win over Prescot Cables to lie in 2nd in the Evo-Stik North. The win was a sixth straight victory for the Seadogs to keep them right in the hunt for promotion.

Trafford sit in 7th place in the Evo-Stik North, with Tom Baker’s side recording eight wins, three defeats and three draws at Shawe View. The home team go into the game following a 5-0 defeat to Bamber Bridge

The two sides shared a point in a 1-1 draw at the Flamingo Land Stadium in November. James Walshaw opened the scoring for Steve Kittrick's side on 53 minutes before Declan Rydings hit back with an equaliser on the hour mark.

Ahead of the game Boro boss Steve Kittrick said: "I know Tom (Baker) and they are a strong side that were tough to break down in the home game and are pushing for a play-off place.

"We go into it in good form and we'll have to work hard to make sure we don't let our levels drop."

FORM:

Trafford: LLDWW (7th) 29 games, 43 points

Boro: WWWWW (2nd) 24 games, 54 pointd
