Glossop ghost past Boro at Surrey Street

Glossop North End had the edge over Scarborough Athletic in a 2-1 win at Surrey Street.

In a evenly contested game between two sides who have enjoyed good starts to the season, a goal with five minutes to go from Jude Oyibo handed the Hillmen all three points.

After initially treating the home fans at Surrey Street with the opening goal from Dale Johnson, Boro hit back and equalised through Michael Coulson as he flicked in from a floated free-kick into the box.

Steve Kittrick's side were unable to force their way back into the game in the closing stages and forced to leave Surrey Street empty handed.
