Boro score twice in second half to beat Colne

Second-half goals from Nathan Curtis and Jimmy Beadle secured the 3 points for Scarborough against a hard working Colne side.

A melee midway through the first half saw Nathan Valentine hit the crossbar and Nathan Curtis’ effort cleared away.

Tommy Taylor made a flying save to deny Shiraz Khan as the first half finished goalless.

The deadlock was broken minutes into the second half as Nathan Curtis headed in at the near post from a Coulson corner.

Chances were spurned as Dave Merris, Michael Coulson and Max Wright missed the target, before the decisive second goal arrived in added time through the shin of substitute Jimmy Beadle to make sure of the win.
