New Signing - Jack Johnson

Steve Kittrick has made another addition to the first team squad in time for Saturday's away trip to Clitheroe. Jack Johnson is a familar face, having donned a Scarborough Athletic shirt in the build up to last season at Silver Royd, playing against a Scarborough & District League XI.

The Boro manager has finally got his man after trying to sign the versatile youngster last summer before the 18-year-old chose to sign for FC Halifax Town instead.

Kittrick is delighted with the capture of utility man Johnson, who can play anywhere across the back four or in midfield. Johnson has often captained Halifax Town in the FA Youth Cup and more recently been involved in first team outings.

Johnson, at just 18 years of age, is another player who is looking to develop and become an important part of the Scarborough Athletic first team squad, starting on Saturday at Clitheroe in the Evo-Stik North.

Welcome to the Seaside, Jack!
