Message from the Board - Saturday 11 March
Good afternoon, and a warm Queensgate welcome to our visitors from Kendal this afternoon. With only 3 more “home” games this season, we’ll soon be reaching the end of our tenure in Bridlington.
The pitch at Weaponness is currently in the process of being laid, and anyone who’s been down there or seen images on the webcam cannot fail to be getting more and more excited by the day. (Webcam link)
On Monday we said goodbye to Dave Holland, at a very moving ceremony that saw senior players and staff carry in the coffin before friends and family shared their memories of a very rich and full life. Dave’s achievements with this football club are undoubted, and we are all looking at ways of honouring his memory for years to come.
The board are currently working really hard to identify and bring in people to help with the running of the club, and we are hoping to add a few new faces shortly. These people will be co-opted and hopefully putting themselves up for election at the next opportunity.
As ever, we can always make use of more volunteers - if you feel you can help please pass your details to a board member.
At the AGM in November we committed to a fans forum, and plans were well underway, but given the current situation we would ask fans to be patient whilst we re-organise and a new date will be announced before the end of the season.
Last week we announced season ticket prices for next season, and the demand so far has been phenomenal. For more details or to place your order, go to the merchandise table in the bar or order online.
There’s so much going on at the moment off the pitch and we’ll try and use this column over the next few weeks to keep you all up to date with progress.
As ever, thank you all for your continued support.
